For a quick, easy and delicious treat, top our White Sandwich Thins with homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil to make mini gluten free pizzas.
Ingredients:
- 2 Warburtons Gluten Free White Sandwich Thins
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 350g passata or crushed tomatoes
- A pinch of sea salt
- 1 Freshly ground black pepper
- 150g diced mozzarella
- 1 Fresh basil leaves to garnish
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 170°C/150°C fan/Gas 3
- Gently fry the garlic in the olive oil for two minutes, then add the passata/crushed tomatoes, salt and pepper, and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened slightly.
- Place the White Sandwich Thins on a baking tray.
- Spread a spoonful of sauce over each of the thins, and then scatter with the mozzarella.
- Cook in the oven for ten minutes until the cheese is melted and golden. Scatter over a few fresh basil leaves before serving.
