It's hard to beat French toast – in this recipe our soft Warburtons Gluten Free White Farmhouse Loaf is coupled with a chewy vanilla coating and gooey jam filling, to make a sweet treat the whole family will love.

Ingredients: 
  • 4 slices Warburtons Gluten Free White Farmhouse Loaf
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbs milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 tbs strawberry jam
  • 1 tsp icing sugar
  • A handful of fresh strawberries, halved
Method: 
  1. In a wide shallow bowl, mix the egg, milk and vanilla with a fork.
  2. Spread the jam over two of the slices and sandwich with the other slices of bread. Heat the butter in a large non-stick frying pan.
  3. Carefully dip the jam sandwiches into the egg mixture and add to the frying pan. Cook for 2 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  4. Cut in half and place onto plates, then dust with the icing sugar and serve with the fresh strawberries.
