For an exciting way to try our Warburtons Gluten Free Crumpets, follow this recipe - adding tomato, pesto and melted cheese for a lovely lunchtime meal.

Ingredients: 
  • 2 Warburtons Gluten Free Crumpets
  • 1 salad tomatoes
  • 50g grated cheese
  • 1/2 tbsp gluten free pesto
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • pinch of salt and pepper
Method: 
  1. Pre heat the grill to medium heat.
  2. Slice the tomatoes and sprinkle with the olive oil, salt and pepper
  3. Place the tomatoes on a rack under the grill for 1-2 minutes until it softens then remove and set aside
  4. Place the crumpets on a baking sheet and grill for 2 minutes or until lightly browned
  5. Remove crumpets from the grill, place 2 slices of tomatoes on each crumpet
  6. Add a thin layer of the pesto on top of the tomatoes then sprinkle with the cheese. place back under the grill for 4-5 minutes or until the cheese has melted
  7. Remove from grill and serve with soup of your choice
